GOsC Registered Osteopath 6354
I graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in 2007 and have spent the past 19 years in clinical practice across a variety of settings. This has included multidisciplinary healthcare clinics as well as home-based practices, both my own and those of others.
My work has included associate and locum roles, alongside building and leading my own practice as a principal osteopath for the past eight years.
Alongside my clinical work, I have held a number of teaching roles at the European School of Osteopathy. These have included clinic tutor, personal tutor, supervisor for self-reflective projects, and lead lecturer for Specific Adjustment Technique. Supporting the development of students and practitioners has been a deeply rewarding part of my career.
I specialise in working with the physical effects of stress and trauma, including both physical and psycho-emotional experiences. This focus led me into a deeper exploration of the relationship between mind, body, and spirit, as well as an interest in how different cultural traditions approach healing.
Through this exploration, I trained in psycho-spiritual and therapeutic shamanism, which I integrate into my work where appropriate. This allows me to hold a broader and more considered perspective when working with complex or layered client experiences.
It was through working closely with individuals navigating challenging and traumatic circumstances that I recognised the importance of supervision within my own practice. Supervision became a place of support, reflection, and professional grounding. It allowed me to feel confident that I was offering safe, responsible, and attuned care.
The value of this relationship was profound and led me to train as a supervisor myself. Within hands-on therapies, supervision is still an emerging practice, and I am part of a growing movement of osteopaths who are committed to embedding it more fully within the profession.
Before training as an osteopath, I studied Art and Design and also worked as a wedding photographer.
Across all of these disciplines, there is a shared essence. Osteopathy, supervision, shamanism, photography, and art all draw upon the art of seeing.
Seeing what is present.
Seeing what may be overlooked.
And learning to perceive from different perspectives.
Creativity lives within this expanded way of seeing.
Through supervision, my intention is to support you in bringing clarity and depth to your practice. This includes understanding what you do, why you do it, and opening into ways of working that feel both sustainable and aligned with who you are.
One of may favourite acts of ‘seeing’ is to photograph otherworldly landscapes. I particularly love the striated red rocks and weathered canyons of the American SouthWest.
